Registration is your first step each semester to select the courses you want to take and secure your spot in classes. Whether you’re a new or returning student, registering on time helps you stay on track with your academic goals and ensures a smooth start to your semester.

Monday, November 10, 2025 - Registration for On-Campus Undergraduate and Graduate Students

Registration Step-By-Step

Here are the steps you need to take to complete your registration for classes at Utica University:

What Are Holds?

A hold is a restriction placed on your student account that can prevent you from registering for classes. Holds can be placed for a variety of reasons, such as unpaid balances, missing health forms, or advising requirements. You can view Holds on BannerWeb. It's important to take care of any holds before your registration window opens, so you don’t run into delays.

Here are the steps to determine if you have any holds on your account:

Log in to Bannerweb
Click on "Enter Secure Area"
Go to Student Services >> Registration >> Registration Status
Select the current term - If there are any holds on your account they will appear here.

Here's how to do it:

Log in to Bannerweb
Click on “Enter Secure Area”
Go to Student Services >> Student Records >> Degree Evaluation
Select the current term and the program
Review which degree requirements have not been met

This is the fun part! To search for your classes for the coming semester, do the following:

Log in to Bannerweb
Click on “Student Services”
Click on “Registration”
Click on “Look Up Classes”
Enter the term you are registering for
Browse through courses that fulfill your program and gen ed requirements
Review class times, prerequisites, and capacity
Build your ideal schedule.

Schedule an appointment! Plan ahead and schedule your appointment in advance.
Review your current semester and plan your future semester courses.
Discuss your goals and career aspirations with your Faculty Academic Advisor.

Here's how to do it:

Log in to BannerWeb at your assigned registration time.
Enter CRNs or add classes directly from your plan.
Confirm your schedule and save a copy.

Always an important step to take! Simply:

Confirm your final schedule.
Ensure that you are enrolled in AT LEAST 12 credit hours! (You will not be eligible for financial aid if you do not meet this minimum requirement.)
