UC Dedicates Brvenik Center for Business Education
Ribbon-cutting ceremony held on Thursday, October 20, 2016
The Brvenik Center for Business Education in downtown Utica was officially dedicated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016.
The state-of-the-art facility for UC’s business programs, which has been open to students since late August, was dedicated to Robert Brvenik ’77, a UC Trustee and major benefactor to the College.
Brvenik, President Laura Casamento, Board of Trustees Chairperson Mark Pilipczuk '88, Interim Dean Rick Fenner, and Director of MBA Programs Stephanie Nesbitt were on hand for the ribbon cutting, along with Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi, Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri, and Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente ’94.
The Brvenik Center is located on the first floor of the historic Clark City Center in the heart of Utica’s financial district.
“We are taking a piece of Utica history that has been underutilized and turning it into a vibrant part of downtown Utica,” says Nesbitt. “And for such a good purpose: educating future business leaders.”
